Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy is the art and skill of manipulating soft tissue, like muscle and fascia, and mobilizing joints. Both joint and soft tissue work are performed with the goal of decreasing pain, desensitizing tissue, and promoting range of motion.

Manual Therapy can be performed either with the use of the therapists’ practiced hands or with a manual therapy designated instrument. ASM therapists are either specialized in manual therapy techniques or have completed post-graduate manual therapy courses.
